Nationally renowned rugby star Jamie Peacock MBE is returning to Whitehaven later this month.
The former England international and motivational speaker will give a talk at Whitehaven Rugby League Club on Saturday August 31, with money raised going towards the local side in its hour of need.
The board is down to two members and players weren't paid in July, with the club in financial 'dire straits.'
Jamie played for top teams including Leeds Rhinos and Bradford Bulls during his career and has excelled as a motivational speaker in the years since his retirement.
Tickets for the event cost £20 and can be bought through the club.
