A police officer has been injured following an arrest on The Crescent in Carlisle on Saturday morning.
A 26-year-old man wanted by the police was arrested on suspicion of burglary and assault shortly before 10am on Saturday, August 17.

During the arrest an officer sustained an injury to his arm. The area of The Crescent is currently closed while the officer receives medical treatment, according to Police.
The man arrested remains in police custody.
