PLANS have been put forward for three homes on agricultural land in Shap.
The application for land at Green Farm was submitted to Westmorland & Furness' planning authority by Martin Cuthell Ltd on behalf of Mr Hodgson and Ms Wharton.
The design and access statement reads that "one of the new dwellings would provide essential workers accommodation" whilst the others aim to meet a portion of Shap's housing shortfall.
The proposed design is intended to be traditional with two-storey structures topped by slate roofs.
Two three-bedroom homes and one four-bedroom are outlined in the proposal.
"Developing the site would have not have any detrimental effect on any neighbouring properties and the screening provided by existing mature trees and the proposed mitigation planting schemes would screen the development in the wider view," the planning notes read.
