The annual Conference Cumbria, organised by the Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, is set to return with a 'fantastic' line-up of speakers.

Several personalities such as entrepreneurs, industry experts, and business leaders will be addressing the audience, including broadcaster and former rugby player, Ugo Monye.

The latest addition to the speaker line-up is Colin Bell.

Mr Bell has an extensive career, having worked in the development and transformation of private and public sector organisations and programmes.

He played a vital role in rescuing the Birmingham based tech firm Winning Moves amidst the financial crisis.

Since then, he has been working with local and national government designing policies and programmes, aiding businesses to start, scale and improve.

He has numerous successful businesses to his credit, including Leap the Crowd and We Do Content.

As a speaker at Conference Cumbria, he plans to discuss the dynamics of scaleup businesses, providing insights for business owners to effectively convert their scaleup potential into actual performance.

The conference aims to foster a collaborative business community spirit in Cumbria, with its theme 'together towards tomorrow'.

Businesses are invited to attend this day-long event that promises talks, discussions and networking opportunities.

Tickets can be obtained from the Chamber's website, charged at £65 plus VAT for members and £80 plus VAT for non-members.

Exhibition space can also be purchased with tickets.

The gathering is set to take place at Castle Green Hotel in Kendal on October 3.

The event is sponsored by Cumberland Council, Westmorland & Furness Council, Leo Group, David Allen and Dodd & Co.
