A TRIAL date has been set for a man and a woman from Carlisle who are accused of causing "unnecessary suffering" to a Siberian husky.
Zoe Fulton, 33, who has formally entered a not guilty plea to the allegation, and Ricky Lawrence, who has not yet entered a plea to the charge, are both due to face a trial on November 28.
The charge alleges that they committed the offence between November 26 last year and December 12.
RSPCA prosecutors say they caused the male Siberian Husky, called Arlow, unnecessary suffering by “failing to investigate and address the cause of the animal’s poor bodily condition and weight loss.”
The defendants live at different properties in Welsh Road Harraby.
Lawrence, whose age is not given in court papers, was not in Carlisle's Rickergate court for the hearing when the date was set for the trial.
