SENTENCE has been adjourned after a 31-year-old Carlisle man admitted causing damage to a Ford Transit van after taking it without the owner’s consent.

Ryan Dicker, of Beaumont Avenue, pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicle taking, having committed the offence on June 12.

He also admitted failing to provide a blood specimen for analysis, driving while uninsured and driving otherwise than in accordance with his licence. The offences were committed on Denton Street, Denton Holme.

After his pleas were entered at the city’s Rickergate court, District Judge John Temperley adjourned the case until September 27, granting the defendant unconditional bail.
