The Friends of Settle-Carlisle Railway Line, a collective of over two thousand members, has initiated a call for enthusiastic volunteers to contribute written pieces for their quarterly magazine.
As part of its wider engagement initiative, interested contributors are invited to submit their work from November 16 onward.
The content is intended to encompass a broad spectrum of themes including social and economic issues, environmental matters, history, architecture, geology, and the unique landscape of the Dales and Eden valley.
While the emphasis is on topics connected to the scenic railway journey, the focus need not be centered solely on trains. Since the magazine is currently going through a comprehensive revitalization, this is an opportunity for new voices to make their mark in print.
The first five new contributors whose work is accepted will get free membership worth 20 pounds as a token of appreciation. In return, they will help raise the railway line's profile, contributing to its long-term viability.
Prospective writers should submit their voluntary contributions to editor@settle-carlisle.com. With the magazine serving as a vital communication pillar among this community, it seeks to inspire and captivate members and the wider community alike.
