Cumberland Council have confirmed that there will be three weeks of roadworks taking place on the A596 near Carlisle.
Starting on Sunday, 1st September, road improvements will be taking place on the A596 between Low Whinnow and Micklethwaite.
Works are expected to last three weeks, weather permitting and will take place between 7pm and 6am each day.
The A596 between Low Whinnow and Micklethwaite will therefore be closed each evening, with a signed diversion route.
If you require access to your property or business, please ask the staff on site, while emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times.
Cumberland Council said: "We appreciate your support and patience during these works and apologise for any inconvenience and disruption caused."
