TWO local West Cumbrian artists share the September feature slot at Lowes Court Gallery.
A Lowes Court spokesperson said: "Angela Strange brings different forms of Raku Japanese pottery to the gallery, including smoke-fired pots, porcelain dishes, and Chawan Japanese tea bowls.
"A regular exhibitor at Lowes Court and Florence Arts Centre, Angela has been hand-making her glazes using local iron ore pigment, enhancing her work's earthy quality.
"Helen Bradbury explores the high fells and dales, notably old mines and workplaces. Using natural materials such as graphite pencils, charcoal, and iron ore paint, Helen can draw directly from her source material in her artworks, using the materials vital to our county's development and its people."
The feature wall is on view from now until Saturday, September 28. Angela will be pleased to welcome you for ‘Meet the Artist’ in Lowes Court on Saturday morning September 14, (10am-1pm). There will be a 10% discount on all sales on the day.
The Gallery (on Main Street, Egremont), also stocks a wide range of locally produced arts and crafts, including paintings and photographs by other gallery artists, prints and cards, textiles, glassware, jewelry, ceramics, and wood.
