THE final summer Traders Market was held in Whitehaven this week.
The markets have been held monthly throughout summer at St Nicholas Gardens on Lowther Street.
The latest event was held on Thursday, August 29.
A town council spokesperson said: "It's nice, the markets are always popular, but the thing is we are trying to give people new excuses to come into Whitehaven town centre.
"All towns are having to rebrand and come up with new ideas, and these markets have been wonderful for that over the last few years.
"We hope to see a lot of people coming down throughout the day and supporting the stallholders.
"It's been really bad weather this week, so the fact that we've got a full marquee of stalls shows the effort that these small businesses put in.
"So, fingers crossed we'll get a few more people down."
The stalls consisted of an array of local goods from traders across Cumbria.
The next markets will be held on Friday, December 6, and will be accompanied by a fireworks display.
