Penrith Fire Station is opening its doors to the public this weekend, for an exciting Open Day.
The family-friendly event, which will run from 11am until 3pm on Saturday, August 31 promises a variety of engaging activities and demonstrations, offering a rare glimpse into the life of a firefighter and the important work they do.
There will be plenty of activities to keep all the family entertained, including the chance to try on fire uniforms, participate in a throw bag challenge, and experience the excitement of virtual reality.
A tombola, raffle draw, and the opportunity to guess Blaze the Bear’s middle name will add an extra layer of fun to the day.
For those looking to relax and enjoy some refreshments, stalls will offer balloon and fire helmets, cakes, ice creams, and even fake tattoos.
Various agencies will also be in attendance, including the Police, Mountain Rescue, Beep Doctors, Great North Air Ambulance Service, Andys Man Club, and Blood Bikes.
