A NEW ice cream parlour named 'Moo' has opened in Brampton.

The new ice cream parlour is located on the market town's Main Street and was opened at the beginning of August by Iain and Denise Canning.

The pair run the parlour, which also offers milkshakes, smoothies, waffles and, coffee, with the help of their children Anna, Bruce and Zara.

After nearly three weeks in the ice cream business, Iain discussed the 'crazy' response that his family's parlour has received.

He said: "We thought we would have a soft start, but on the day we opened somebody put something on Facebook and it went crazy.

"We have sold two or three times the amount of ice cream we had been hoping to sell. It has been remarkable.

"People locally have been really supportive and send some really kind and encouraging things online about what we are doing.

"The ice cream we are selling is from an award-winning company.

"It is more of a gelato, smooth and creamy, and really high quality so it is nothing like anyone is selling locally."

Iain also discussed how 'Moo' will continue to expand its menu as autumn and winter approaches.

He said: "We want to keep things fresh, try new things and ensure people always have a good experience."
