Police are investigating an offence of theft from a motor vehicle that occurred at some time between 10:30pm on August 31 and 8:30am on September 1 in the St Martins Drive area in Brampton.
A window has been smashed and a bag taken from within the vehicle - a black Vauxhall Astra. The bag was recovered nearby with nothing taken.

A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said: "Anyone with information relating to this incident is asked to report online quoting incident number 62 of September 1.
"You can also phone on 101 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
