A 10-year-old boy has become the fastest child of primary school age to conquer all 214 Wainwrights.

Despite being diagnosed with Tourette's Syndrome, ADHD, and hyperactivity, Leo Mason, who lives in Frizington, has used his condition as a force for an active lifestyle.

Leo, alongside his dad Michael, finished the feat with a hike up Lingmoor Fell on Sunday, bringing the Lake District challenge to a close after only 90 days.

This is the second time the father-son duo has taken on the Wainwright challenge, sharing their journey on social media under the banner Tickinemoff.

Leo credited the challenge to his family and social media followers for their continued support throughout his journey.

"I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported me, starting with my mum and sister, they didn't get out hiking much with us as we were always doing big hikes, but they helped with so much of the travelling, picking us up and dropping us off, making nice food for us, and lots of amazing support.

"Then my dad for taking me on some amazing adventures and being there with me the whole way, pushing me each day, and being with me whilst I reached my goals of completing not one but two rounds of Wainwrights in one year," he said.

Michael echoed his appreciation for the widespread support, especially from the hiking community, commenting on how 'proud' the family is of Leo.

"The response from the hiking community has been amazing.

"Hundreds of people have been messaging and showing support for Leo's journey on social media."

After some well-earned rest, Leo aims to fulfill his dream of hiking to Everest Base Camp. So far, they have raised almost £2,000 towards their goal.
