Hundreds of people attended this year’s Loweswater Show which was held on Sunday, September 1.

Alongside the traditionally well-contested sheep, horses, ponies, goats and dog classes, there was fell races for all ages, carriage driving, sheep dog trials, hound trailing, wrestling and lots of trade stands and entertainment at the Show.

People of all ages entered the various different show categories which contributed to the family atmosphere at the event.

The recent inclement weather has meant that several other local shows have either been cancelled or were very waterlogged and muddy but a field inspection late in the week gave the organisers the go ahead to put up the tents and prepare the ground.

A spokesperson for the show said: “Loweswater Show would like to thank every person who contributed to making our show today such an enjoyable Lakeland event.

“We are grateful to you all, whether you came as an entrant to a class, a seller, an organiser or just to have a good day out.”
