Experience laughs at Taste Cumbria Comedy in Cockermouth

It is part of the Taste Cumbria festival that will span the town across the weekend.

A mix of stalls, hot food stands, a drinks tent, children's entertainment and live music will be within reach for festival-goers to relish.

Cockermouth Cricket Club will host the Comedy Night commencing from 7pm on Saturday, September 28.

With tickets priced at £18 per individual, it promises a 'great line-up of comics'.

Compere Matt Reed, a Taste Cumbria regular, has earned praise for his sharp comebacks, 'skilfully destroying' any hecklers coming his way.

Those familiar with Brennan Reece's humorous escapades on shows like BBC's Live At The Apollo and E4's Celeb Coach Trip, are in for a treat.

The self-professed 'mummy's boy' went viral after experiencing a lap with The Stig on Top Gear.

Louise Young, a Geordie comedian known for her casual style and 'razor sharp jokes', will also be adding her take to the evening.

Further adding to the line-up is the semi-finalist for British Comedian of the Year, Ryan Kenny who is described as ‘a socially inept comedian who specialises in the art of random poetry and awkward’.

Among other ticketed attractions at Taste Cumbria Cockermouth is the Brush and Tipple Paint Party on Friday, September 27.

This fun paint-and-sip workshop combines art and drinking for the creatively inclined.

The Taste Cumbria festival is run by Cumberland Council, aimed at improving the local economy while offering a diverse range of attractions.

Free to attend, the festivals play host to additional ticketed events.
