A choir is inviting locals to get involved at its trials rehearsal as its new groups prepare to sing at a pair of Penrith venues.
Lakeland Larks are preparing to fill Blue Jam Arts, Friargate, and Askham Village Hall with 'the sound of wonderful songs' and are encouraging interested locals to get involved.
The Penrith Larks! female voice choir is set to perform at Blue Jam Arts on Monday, September 16 whilst the Askham Larks! mixed voice choir will sing at Askham Village Hall on Wednesday, September 18.
Ahead of these events, locals are invited to come and 'sing in harmony' with the choirs.
Writing on social media, they said: "In just over a week's time our two lovely venues will be bursting with the sound of wonderful songs from our new choirs.
"Don't miss out if you enjoy singing and want to join like-minded people and sing in harmony.
"Please don't worry if you're feeling apprehensive. "e will be taking it slowly with some well-known songs to build confidence.
"And as with everything, practice makes perfect."
