Kevin Hornsby, 39, was over the limit for cocaine when he committed the offence, driving a Ford Focus at Waver Terrace, Abbeytown, on April 7, Carlisle’s Rickergate court heard.
He was just over twice the limit.
He was banned for a year and fined £576. He must also pay £85 costs and a £230 victim surcharge. The defendant was represented in court by defence lawyer Mark Shepherd.
