Christine Collister is set to perform at Wetheral Village Community Hall.

The singer-songwriter will be playing at the hall as part of her first tour in four years, supporting her new album, Children Of The Sea.

Ms Collister is a popular name on the live music scene, having performed at major international festivals including Glastonbury and Cambridge.

Her career spans over 40 years, during which she has released 24 albums and a DVD.

Ms Collister has a unique blend of soul, blues, pop, jazz, country and folk.

She grew up on the Isle of Man, and her professional recording career began after she moved to the UK in the mid-1980s.

She came to national attention singing the theme for the BBC television series The Life and Loves Of A She Devil.

Her new album, Children Of The Sea, is a project of nine original songs inspired by Manx folklore.

The album was part-funded by the Isle of Man Arts Council, Culture Vannin and Fledgling Records.

It comes with a book featuring lyrics, inspirations and stories, with original illustrations by Manx artists.

Ms Collister's concerts are known for her natural warmth and intimate connection with audiences, coupled with her stunning voice.

Tickets for the Wetheral show, set to be held on November 17, are priced at £16 each and are available from Eventbrite, doors open at 7pm.

A bar will be available before the performance and during the interval.
