A Carlisle beauty salon has been named 'Lash Extensions Specialist of the Year' at the English Nails Brows Lashes (NBL) Awards 2024.
House of Sass, which is located in Greengarth, was named 'Lash Extension Specialist of the Year' for the north of England at the national awards ceremony which was held in Manchester on Sunday, August 25.
House of Sass is owned by Alexandra Knox who also stopped the same award in 2020.
After winning the award, Alexandra was on hand to express her delight and detail her journey to Nail Brow Lashes glory.
She said: "I have been a self-employed lash technician for almost eight years.
"Starting off with a very small budget I set up my own business in lashing, which has taken off and expanded into so much more.
"I have been following my dreams and in late 2019 I decided to further my skills and start educating and holding my own lash training days which has been a huge success.
"Being a mentor to my students is where my passion for lashing thrives and in 2020 I won the NBL award for 'lash specialist'.
"Fast forward to 2024, I have won the award again for lash specialist and I couldn't be happier."
Despite winning the NBL award, Alexandra is not resting on her laurels and shared her vision for her business over the next 12 months.
She said: "So much has happened across the years for my business and so much more is still to come
"In early 2025 l am looking to launch my very own podcast which will touch on relatable subjects for young women in business."
After the awards ceremony took place in Manchester, a spokesperson for The English NBL Awards 2024 said: "We are delighted to have been able to bring these awards back to England for another year."
"These Awards are an excellent opportunity to showcase those who have shown great commitment, professionalism, creativity, and care for the client."
