A former MP will organise and host his 11th skills fair next year.
John Stevenson, who was MP for Carlisle for 13 years, will host the Carlisle Skills Fair at Carlisle College on January 23.
The event will run from 2pm until 6.30pm.
Mr Stevenson said: "One of my proudest achievements has been organising and hosting the annual Carlisle Skills Fair.
"This year saw the best yet, with record numbers of employers, training providers, young people, and job seekers attending.
"I was amazed that so many people contacted me after the election and asked if I would keep this going and organise the 11th in 2025.
"With the continued support of organisations like Inspira, Carlisle College, and Carlisle Job Centre, I could not say no."
"Bringing job seekers, and young people in particular, together with skills providers and employers with the jobs of the future, is so important for the future prosperity of our area.
"I want everyone in Carlisle and North Cumbria to be able to grasp the opportunities on offer and be happy and successful in life.
"The skills fair is the perfect way to help people be equipped with the right skills and experience for those jobs and careers."
Mr Stevenson urged people to "save the date" and attend the fair next year.
