A MAN has pleaded guilty to being the owner of a dog that was dangerously out of control causing injury to a police officer.
Daniel Martin, 34, admitted the offence when he appeared before Workington Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
The incident involved a collie dog called Loki, which injured the police officer at a property on Main Street in Egremont on December 21 last year. The dog has since been rehomed.
The case was adjourned to allow a pre-sentence report to be prepared by the probation service. Martin, of Main Street, Egremont, will be sentenced on October 7. He was granted unconditional bail.
