A free webinar will be held this month to support nurses and midwives undergoing fitness to practise investigations.
The free webinar, called Navigating the Storm, is being held by national charity Nurse Lifeline in collaboration with NMCWatch in response to the growing need for emotional and psychological support for healthcare professionals facing investigation.
It will be held on Thursday September 19 from 6pm-7.30pm.
Cumbria-based Teresa Griffiths ARRC MBE, chair of Nurse Lifeline said: "We have seen the significant emotional toll these investigations take on individuals. It’s clear that there is a real need for support during these difficult times.
"This webinar is a step toward addressing that need by providing both practical advice, a safe space and importantly, a sense of community recognising that the people going through these investigations are not alone."
Healthcare professionals face immense stress, anxiety, and isolation while going through a fitness to practice investigation.
It can leave them feeling lost, overwhelmed, and uncertain about their future which has a knock on effect to both their career and mental wellbeing.
The webinar will offer a supportive and non-judgemental space for professionals to share their experiences.
Participants can remain completely anonymous and only share as much as they wish to.
Anybody interested in attending can register to attend on the Nurse Lifeline website.
