A tribute to the hugely popular heavy metal band Slipknot are set to return to Carlisle in November.
On Friday, November 1st, Dev Bros Promotions are throwing a Halloween bash, when The North East 9, Slipknowt, make their long-awaited return to The Brickyard.
Slipknowt pay tribute to the “Classic Knot” era, with a set list featuring songs exclusively from the band’s first four albums, Slipknot, Iowa, Vol 3 (The Subliminal Verses) and All Hope is Gone.
The North East 9 are known for their crazy over-the-top energetic performances, full on stage accurate costumes and stage props.
Support on the night comes from two of Cumbria’s finest metal outfits in Carlisle’s own Eversio, and Barrow's Groblin & The Ballistics.
Ryan Devlin, promoter at Dev Bros Promotions, said: "The last time Slipknowt played Carlisle back in 2022, it really was one of the craziest gigs we’ve ever experienced at The Brickyard, pretty much the full room was one large mosh pit, it was insane, and when we got the opportunity to bring the guys back to do it all again, we jumped at the chance.
"This is as accurate as you can get in terms of a tribute show, everything from the early era Slipknot masks, professional full stage accurate costumes, and all the props you’d expect from the live Slipknot experience are all in the show!
"With there being nine members of the band, the same as the real Slipknot, it can be hard to tie the guys down for gigs, and they are in a position where they can pick and choose where they play and when due to their popularity, so we are very chuffed they decided to return to Carlisle after an epic night two years ago.
"If you are a fan of early Slipknot, this is the gig for you, they play all the early bangers and songs that even the real Slipknot don’t play live anymore, so this is a great opportunity to see these songs played live in such an intimate setting."
Tickets are on sale now through Fatsoma priced at just £12 in advance.
