KESWICK Mountain Rescue have rescued a base jumper who broke their leg following after they 'landed badly'.
The team were called out 9.35am on Sunday, September 8 to rescue the base jumper who had broken their leg after leaping off Upper Falcon Crag.
Keswick Mountain Rescue were assisted in the rescue by North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust. (NWAS)
Writing on social media, Keswick Mountain Rescue said: "A base jumper after having leapt off Upper Falcon Crag and floated down landed badly on the lakeshore and broke their leg.
"An ambulance crew were in attendance but requested assistance stretchering the casualty to the roadside."
The rescue involved 16 team members and lasted nearly an hour
