NOMINATIONS are now open for the News & Star's brand new 'Best Beauty Salon 2024’ award.

In a bid to celebrate local beauty salons in North and West Cumbria, the News & Star has launched its new competition which will crown the county's 'Best Beauty Salon 2024'. 

As part of the competition, News & Star readers can now nominate their favourite beauty salon from North and West Cumbria via an online voting platform.

Online nominations will run between Monday, September 16, and Sunday, September 22, with the ten finalists being revealed on Monday, September 30.

Readers will then be able to vote for their 'Best Beauty Salon 2024' by picking up editions of the News & Star between Monday, September 30, and Saturday, October 12, with the winner set to be announced on Monday, October 21.

Speaking after the online nominations for the News & Star's 'Best Beauty Salon 2024' opened, Joy Yates, regional editor for Newsquest Cumbria asked readers to support their favourite salon.

She said: "The beauty industry is big business – from treating yourself to gel nails or lovely lashes or relaxing with a massage or facial.

"The list of possible treatments is endless and we have some wonderful salons in our areas.
