CITIZENS Advice Copeland recently celebrated a significant milestone as it marked its 85th year of service to the community.
The organisation was set up to deal with issues such as unemployment, homelessness, provide access to food and welfare support during the war.
A Citizens Advice Copeland spokesperson said: "Since its founding in 1939, the organisation has provided free, confidential, and impartial advice to those in need, helping countless individuals navigate a wide range of issues and challenges.
"85 years later our communities are still facing many of these challenges and the service supports those who are in need of free and independent advice with issues including debt, benefits, housing, employment, and energy.
"The 85th anniversary celebration has been a time of reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to serving the community.
"Citizens Advice Copeland looks forward to many more years of providing support, guidance, and advice to those in need, and to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families in the local area."
