A bright autumn day set the scene for what was a successful Alston Moor Open, which raised over £5,000 for Prostate Cancer UK.
The event, held on Friday, September 6, saw 70 golfers from across the country, including North Wales and Essex, compete in the heart of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Local golfers Glenn Davis and Yung Me Butterworth took home the victory with a score of 43 points.
The annual tournament, which has raised thousands over the years, once again proved a hit with donations, fees, and a raffle contributing to the total amount.
Co-organiser Paul Nash, of Play2Support, has now helped generate over £20,000 for the cause.
As a prostate cancer survivor, he is aware of how the funds raised helps improve diagnosis and treatment of the disease.
He expressed gratitude to Essity, Prudhoe Mill, for donating 1,350 toilet rolls, which raised over £500.
