THIS week we wanted to take a look at the history of one West Cumbrian town.
Silloth is located on the coast in the north of Cumbria, the town has a vast and interesting history.
The town lies on the shores of the Solway Firth, it is just a stones throw from the Lake District and looks over towards the fells of Scotland.
The area is well known for its iconic sea views and is a great place to catch a glimpse of amazing sunsets.
It is also widely acknowledged for its carnival which have been a part of the town for generations.
People have come from across Cumbria for years to enjoy the iconic event.
These photos show some of the fun people have had at the carnival over the years.
