All lanes heading southbound on the M6 near Carlisle have now re-opened following a one-vehicle collision.
One person has been taken to the Cumberland Infirmary by ambulance with injuries that are not life-threatening or life changing.
The collision occurred on the M6 southbound carriageway near junction 42 - Cumbria Police was called out at 3.40pm.
