CARLISLE Cathedral will be holding a service to mark a special anniversary.
On Saturday, September 21, at 2pm members of the public are invited to attend the service to mark the 30th anniversary of the first ordination of women to the priesthood.
Due to the service taking place, there will be no evening prayer at 3pm on this day.
A Carlisle Cathedral spokesperson said: "All are welcome to attend a special service to be held at Carlisle Cathedral to mark the 30th anniversary of the first ordination of women to the priesthood.
"Tickets are free but must be reserved in advance.
"After the service refreshments will be served in the Cathedral. Places are limited and bookings for refreshments can be made when you reserve your ticket."
