A popular canary show is set to return to Low Hesket, on the outskirts of Carlisle.
The Cumbria Border and Fife Fancy Canary Club will host its annual event on Sunday, December 8.
The show, which attracts fanciers from across the North of England and Southern Scotland, will feature around 500 canaries.
The birds will be judged in various colours, including yellow, green, blue, white, cinnamon, and fawn.
The event will showcase a range of canaries, from the small Fife Canary, standing at just over 4.25 inches, to the larger Border Canary, measuring 5.75 inches.
The hobby of bird-keeping is popular across the UK and is often 'handed down' through generations.
The club is encouraging newcomers to the hobby to attend the show, promising a warm welcome and an opportunity to learn more about the birds.
A club spokesman said: "If you’re looking for a hobby or if you just fancy something different to do on a Sunday, why not come along to see us at Low Hesket on December 8?"
The show will also feature a raffle with hundreds of pounds worth of prizes, including the chance to win a Border or Fife Canary.
Birds can be entered into the show on Saturday, December 7, from 5pm to 8pm, and on Sunday, December 8, from 7.30am to 8.45am.
The show will open to the general public between 1.30pm and 3.30pm.
Refreshments will be available, including tea, coffee, steak pie and chips, soft drinks, and cake.
