A new butcher's in Carlisle has said that it is 'excited' after opening its doors.
Morton Butchers, on Newlaithes Avenue, opened on Thursday, September 12 in the unit formerly occupied by Ogilvie's Butchers & Baguette Bar which closed in March.
The butchers is being run by Tony Dickinson, who has been a butcher for nearly 40 years, and fellow experienced butcher Chris Niemand.
Writing on social media after opening their new shop, they said: "Welcome to the new butchers in Morton, Morton Butchers.
"We have been working hard over the last few weeks to get the old Ogilvie's butchers back up and running. We are pleased to announce we are now finally open.
"From quality cuts of meats to fresh homemade sausage rolls, a wide selection of pies and stir frys - we have it all.
"Currently, we are open Monday through Friday, Saturdays, and closed Sundays.
"We are excited for this new venture, and are looking forward to welcoming you all."
