Cumbria Police are carrying out random spot checks at schools across Carlisle to tackle parking issues.
Today (September 23), Carlisle Police officers have been visiting Bishop Harvey Goodwin School to ease congestion at the school gate.
The City East team will continue these checks at all Carlisle schools.
A spokesperson from Carlisle Police said: "As a City East team we plan to carry out random spot checks at all of our schools, ensuring the safety of the children being collected.
"Please park sensibly and considerately, zig zags should be left clear at all times to allow a clear view up and down the road."
