TENS of thousands of pounds were donated to MPs' election campaigns in north Cumbria’s two constituencies.
Recent financial disclosures, registered in late July 2024, show the financial support provided by individuals and organisations for all the UK’s MPs.
Julie Minns, Labour MP for Carlisle, received £20,000 in donations divided between two major sources.
Gary Lubner, a private donor and businessman, donated £15,000 towards Ms Minns’ general election campaign expenses.
Mr Lubner donated a reported £4.5million to the party before the 2024 election, helping the party to a record £13million in donations, which was divided by the party between selected MPs.

Additionally, Labour Together Ltd, a London-based organisation, made a contribution of £5,000 to Ms Minns’ campaign.
Her financial disclosures also detail earnings from her role as a self-employed consultant for the Family Rights Group, a charity based in London.
She received £1,920 for consultancy work carried out between March and May 2024.
The work amounted to 45 hours, and the payment was registered in late July.
Ms Minns has also declared ownership of a house in London worth over £100,000.
Her additional unpaid roles include serving as a trustee for the Friends of Carlisle Victorian and Turkish Baths, and until July 28, 2024, she held positions within the Carlisle Labour Party, acting as branch secretary and a delegate to the general committee and executive committee.
Ms Minns said: "These were donations to Carlisle Labour Party to fund general election campaign costs including the printing of leaflets and posters, and declared in line with the rules set by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards."

In Penrith and the Solway, Markus Campbell-Savours’ campaign has also benefited from major financial contributions.
Labour Together Ltd, the same organisation supporting Ms Minns, donated £5,000 towards Mr Campbell-Savours’ campaign.
Unite the Union, one of the UK’s largest trade unions, provided a further £10,000, bringing the total to £15,000.
He has also registered several unpaid public roles, including serving as a councillor for Keswick on Cumberland Council.
He’s also a member of the Lake District National Park Authority and is listed as the sole director of MCS Electrical Project Ltd, a non-trading company, with this directorship being registered in early August 2024.
