Inspire Beauty Salon has been nominated by News & Star readers as one of the ten finalists in its 'Best Beauty Salon 2024' award.

The salon, located on Longtown's High Street is owned by Hannah Robertson who opened her business in 2011.

After being informed that Inspire had been chosen by News & Star readers to feature in the final ten of the 'Best Beauty Salon 2024' award, Hannah was on hand to express her delight.

She said: "I can't believe it, I am totally in shock. I can't believe that people have nominated us.

"It is a dream come true and I feel personally grateful to the people who have put us forward and to the community in Longtown for always supporting us."

Hannah opened her salon after the birth of her eldest child, and it has grown into a popular local business thanks to its friendly environment and range of services and treatment.

She said: "I had always done skincare and makeup and things and then after I had my daughter I took the plunge and opened up the salon.

"I thought that I would give it a year and if it was no good I would close the doors and the rest in history, it has just got bigger and better

"We do all beauty treatment, all your regular waxing and treading as well as nails, lashes, facials, massages, and aesthetics.

"I think people love that we are real people, I am just a working mum at the end of the day. There are no airs and graces, our clients are our friends and they always receive a warm welcome.

"We are never judgemental and it is a really laid-back atmosphere as well as professional."
