We're highlighting the shortlisted salons in our competition in the News & Star. Each of the establishments will be featured over ten issues.
Adore Hair & Beauty has been nominated by News & Star readers as one of the ten finalists in its 'Best Beauty Salon 2024' award.
The salon, located on Wigton's Half Moon Lane is owned by Sam Knight who opened her business in December 2016.
After being informed that Adore Hair & Beauty had been chosen by News & Star readers to feature in the final ten of the 'Best Beauty Salon 2024' award, Sam was on hand to express her delight.
She said: "We are over the moon and I can't believe we have been nominated, especially when there are so many salons around us as well.
"It has been a lot of hard work over the years but it has all been worth it.
"It means a lot to us that people have put us forward for this."
Sam was also keen to highlight the wide range of services the salon offers as well as thanking her dedicated staff for all their hard work.
She said: "At the salon, we do hair and beauty and we have three hair stylists, a beauty therapist, and then another three girls that rent the rooms and do various beauty treatments.
"We do nails, massages, waxing, facials, and then we have got a girl that comes from Blackpool to aesthetics as well. We offer a wide range of services.
"The team we have got here is brilliant and I appreciate them all, they are great.
"I appreciate them and their hard work so much."
Sam also discussed her belief that the salon's 'cosy' atmosphere has made it a local favourite.
She said: "I think we have got a nice atmosphere in here, it is very cosy and the salon has that chilled vibe.
"People come in and feel confident when they walk out.
"I love catching up with our regulars and a lot of my clients are friends now and that is lovely.
"I love making everyone feel good and although it is hard work it is so rewarding."
