Autumn has now officially began following the equinox which occurred this week.
The September equinox is the moment when the Sun appears to cross the celestial equator, heading southward – marking the end of summer for people in the northern hemisphere.
In Cumbria, the nights are starting to feel like they are drawing in and there is certainly an autumnal presence in the air.
