Egremont bare-knuckle boxer Agi Faulkner is set for a big European title fight in Newcastle.
The west Cumbrian will be top of the bill at Newcastle in November as part of the BKFC 68 show.
And Faulkner will take on Dawid Oskar in a bid to be crowned BKFC European heavyweight champion.
The 34-year-old is preparing for the big fight, which will be his third in the high-profile BKFC.
Faulkner already has two victories under his belt and is rated as one of the UK’s top heavyweight fighters.
Now, having earned a title shot, he will go up against Polish-born Oskar, who has three wins and a defeat from his BKFC fights so far.
The England-based boxer is an experienced fighter from a spell in amateur MMA (mixed martial arts).
Faulkner’s BKFC career began with victory over Daniel Robson in Newcastle in November 22.
The Egremont favourite followed that up with an impressive win against Welsh fighter Rob Cunningham in Leeds in November 2023, defeating his opponent inside the first minute of their contest by technical knockout.
The full card for BKFC 68 Newcastle on Saturday, November 2 is yet to be confirmed by the BKFC, but host venue Utilita Arena has already announced that the Faulkner fight will be top of the bill.
“The main event will see Agi Faulkner take on David Oscar for the inaugural BKFC European Heavyweight Title, while the co-main event will feature Matthew Hodgson battling Conor Cooke for the Vacant BKFC UK Light Heavyweight Title,” they announced.
“With a stacked undercard of fan favourite fighters, BKFC 68 promises non-stop action from start to finish.”
Faulkner is one of two Cumbrians hoping to land a major BKFC title in the coming weeks.
Carlisle’s Danny Christie is set to take on David Mundell for the world middleweight title in Marbella, Spain on Saturday, October 12.
