A huge sale flight and holidays available to book from Newcastle Airport has been announced by a major airline.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays put together what they called their ‘biggest-ever summer programme’ featuring flights and holidays to 40 sun and leisure city destinations, including five brand-new summer routes.

The leisure airline and tour operator said it ‘responded to strong demand from UK holidaymakers wanting to book ahead, going on sale with their summer programme earlier than ever before’.

The new summer routes, two of which are exclusive to Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, from Newcastle International Airport for Summer 2026 are as follows:

  • Brand-new weekly services to Agadir
  • Brand-new and exclusive weekly services to Preveza
  • Weekly services to Marrakech operating for the first time in the summer
  • Brand-new and exclusive twice-weekly services to Porto
  • Brand-new twice-weekly services to Barcelona

The expanded programme means over 1.3million seats have gone on sale, representing a capacity increase of over 11 per cent when compared to Summer 2025.

During peak periods, the companies will operate more than 130 departing weekly flights from the airport.

In addition, they have also increased capacity to six existing sunshine destinations, with additional flights operating to Malaga, Alicante, Dubrovnik, Faro (Algarve), Rome and Girona during Summer 2026.

To support this expanded programme, Jet2.com said they have invested in the airport, with an extra aircraft coming into operation at Newcastle International Airport, meaning a fleet of nine-based aircraft in operation during peak periods for Summer 2026.

They added that they will be making further Summer 2026 announcements over the coming weeks, including the launch of more leisure city break destinations from Newcastle.
