We're highlighting the shortlisted salons in our competition in the News & Star. Each of the establishments will be featured over ten issues.

Bex Beauty has been nominated by News & Star readers as one of the ten finalists in its 'Best Beauty Salon 2024' award.

The salon, located on Carlisle's Dalston Road is owned by Rebeka Nimmo who opened her business in 2016. 

After being informed that Bex Beauty had been chosen by News & Star readers to feature in the final ten of the 'Best Beauty Salon 2024' award, Rebeka was on hand to express her delight.

She said: "I feel truly honoured and grateful to have been nominated and have the support from all my friends, family, and clients.

"Having additional support from New & Star readers is also truly amazing.

"I love my work and the people who help support my business which make all the long hours and hard work all worth it."

At her salon, Rebeka offers a wider range of services and priorities the creation of a comforting atmosphere for her clients.

Rebeka also discussed her relationship with her clients who have helped make her salon what it is today.

She said: "I specialise in builder gel nails, gel polish, brow wax and tint, classic lash extensions, pedicures, and intimate waxing.

"All my clients have said they love coming to me as I make them feel comfortable and are extremely happy with their treatments.

"My favourite part about the salon industry is having the ability to make everyone feel better and enhance their own beauty

Seeing my regular clients and friends means the world to me and with the continued support over the years is just fantastic and I love each and every one.

"My business wouldn't be where it is today without my loyal clients."
