We're highlighting the shortlisted salons in our competition in the News & Star. Each of the establishments will be featured over ten issues.
Chloe's Beauty has been nominated by News & Star readers as one of the ten finalists in its 'Best Beauty Salon 2024' award.
The salon, located on Carlisle's West Tower Street is owned by Chloe Jayne-Warton who opened her business in October 2020, however, she has worked in the beauty industry for 11 years.
After being informed that Chloe's Beauty had been chosen by News & Star readers to feature in the final ten of the 'Best Beauty Salon 2024' award, Chloe, who is currently on maternity leave, was on hand to express her delight.
She said: "It's so good that we have been nominated.
"I am also not a work at the moment so it makes me feel really happy with the salon and the four amazing girls I have got working there.
"They are all doing an amazing job and I know they are because I also get reviews emails to me which are always great.
"I wouldn't have a salon without the support I get from my girls."
For Chloe, the key to success in the salon business is being able to keep up with the ever-evolving beauty trends as well as maintain the quality of their staple treatments.
She said: "Personally, I offer semi-permanent makeup and I do mainly lips and eyebrows and I do tattoo removal.
"Then I have got two nail technicians who do mainly builder gel treatments which is one of the most popular treatments we do.
"We also do lash lifts and eyebrows but we also do our best to keep up with the industry because it is such a fast-paced industry and there is always something new so we always offer up-to-date treatments like brow laminations and henna brows."
Chloe also discussed her love for her clients and the environment in her salon.
She said: "I love seeing my clients and making them happy and making them feel more confident and I feel like because our salon is quite open we all sit and have a chat.
"Our clients come in and all make friends with each other because the salon is very welcoming and just such a nice environment."
