A road in Whitehaven will be closed tomorrow (Wednesday, October 2) whilst Cumberland Council completes road markings.
The council have announced that New Road in Whitehaven will be closed between 9am and 3pm to allow the completion of road improvement work.
The work was initially scheduled to take place between Monday, September 16 and Friday, September 27, however, will now conclude on Wednesday, October 2 after 'wet weather conditions' meant that the road markings could not be completed.
Writing on social media, Cumberland Council said: "We apologise for the inconvenience, but it’s essential these markings are in place.
"Please note, buses will still have access through the closure, and emergency vehicles will be able to pass at all times."
