AN HISTORIC Cumbrian hotel has unveiled 10 new luxury bedrooms within a newly restored barn building.
Sella Park Country House Hotel at Calder Bridge has announced the completion of the additional bedrooms, which are now open to guests.
Sella Park, a grade-II listed building, is part of the Pennington Hotels group, which owns Muncaster Castle and estate.
The newly opened Sella Barn has been brought to life by the in-house maintenance team from Muncaster Castle, Pennington Hotels’ own development team, along with local business suppliers.
The newly transformed barn offers 10 bedrooms, designed with a 'blend of modern comfort and timeless heritage'.
Each room provides a ‘relaxing, contemporary’ environment, while maintaining the unique character of the building's historic origins. The new rooms cater to both leisure and business travellers.
Tessa Jones, group general manager of Pennington Hotels, said: "We are thrilled to introduce these stunning new rooms to our guests at Sella Park.
"The restoration of the barn is a true reflection of our commitment to preserving this very special property while providing our visitors with high-quality accommodations. This expansion not only enhances our offerings but also allows us to create more employment opportunities within the community and local area."
The opening of the additional rooms enables Sella Park to host more guests and ‘showcases its position as a premier destination in the Western Lake District’.
The hotel will continue to strengthen its partnership with its sister property, The Pennington in Ravenglass and the other properties within Pennington Hotels group and close connection with the historic visitor attraction of Muncaster Castle.
Pennington Hotels says it wants to ensure a wider range of offerings for travellers seeking both modern luxury and a connection to Cumbria’s rich heritage.
