'Look Good Feel Better' sessions have restarted for cancer patients in Cumbria.

The charity puts on free, one-off makeup and skincare sessions for women with a cancer diagnosis.

The aim of the sessions is to give practical advice and support to people living with cancer.

Every workshop offers an invaluable opportunity to talk to others in a similar situation, whilst helping support people with their changing appearance.

The charity said it aimed to help people leave their workshops feeling "empowered, motivated and less isolated – allowing them to look good, but feel even better."

Tori Crotty, Macmillan lead cancer information and support manager at NCIC, said: “The look good, feel good sessions receive wonderful feedback from those who attend.

"It’s extremely moving to see the women feel more confident by the end of the session.

"I hope we can help many more women look and feel good about themselves during their cancer journey.”

Anyone who is affected by cancer and would like to attend one of the workshops, can book on via the Look Good, Feel Good website.
