Cumberland Council have also announced the closure of several city centre car parks.

Bitts Park car park will be closed on the morning of the event and won’t be available again until approximately 10am.

Castle car park will be open for runners until 8.30am. After 8.30am it will be closed until approximately 9.45am when it reopens for all.

All other council car parks are unaffected, unless they are on the run route and access is temporarily restricted due to the rolling road closure.

The council has said it is aware of some incorrect dates on route signage which has been erected in the last day or so and we are working to amend these as soon as possible.
