A CHURCH is set to host a harvest-themed evensong event this weekend.
Wetheral Church will host the harvest-themed 'choral evensong' on Sunday, October 6.
The event will feature music by Elgar, Farrant, and Whalley amongst others, all sung by the church's robed choir.
Writing on social media ahead of the event, they said: "The next choral evensong at Wetheral Church will be on October 6 at 6pm, on a theme of harvest.
"Music by Elgar, Farrant, Shera, Smith, and Whalley, sung by our robed choir, plus some cracking harvest hymns for everyone to sing.
"The beautiful language of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer makes this reflective service a perfect way to end one week and start the next.
"Those of all faiths and none are welcome to join us."
