KESWICK Mountain Rescue Team has hosted a joint training session with a Norwegian search and rescue group.
Team members from the Lake District mountain rescue crew were visited by volunteers from the Norwegian search and rescue outfit Norsk Folkehjelp on Sunday, September 29.
The training session simulated a situation where a 'casualty' slipped while climbing and required assistance.
Writing on social media, Keswick Mountain Rescue Team said: "On Sunday we had the pleasure of hosting a visit with volunteers from the Norwegian search and rescue group Norsk Folkehjelp. They had the previous day been to see our neighbours Langdale Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team (LAMRT).
"After a discussion on all things mountain rescue, we decided on a joint training session at Fisher Place Gill where a "casualty" had slipped whilst scrambling in the gill.
"As always it's really beneficial to meet other teams, exchange ideas, and review equipment used."
