EMERGENCY services are attending to a crash in South Cumbria.
The incident was reported today, October 8, and is said to have occurred between Plumgarths Roundabout and Helsington.
The A591 is closed in both directions.
In a social media post, Cumbria Police wrote: "Emergency Services are currently on scene dealing with a two-vehicle collision that has closed both directions of the A591.
"The affected stretch is between Plumgarths roundabout and Helsington.
"This closure will likely result in heavy congestion through Kendal this morning so please factor in extra time for your journey.
"Police, Fire, and Ambulance are all on the scene. We do not currently have any indication of how long this section of the A591 will be closed. We will provide further updates throughout the morning."
