THE Beacon will be hosting a Christmas decoration-making class.

The Whitehaven-based Museum will be hosting the class on Sunday, December 1.

The class gives people the opportunity to create their own decorations out of wood and fabric that can be hung on their Christmas tree for years to come.

In a post on social media, The Beacon wrote: "You will learn how to create your own personal and unique wooden Christmas decorations, gift tags and keepsakes which you can apply to greetings cards, bookmarks and gifts for people who love handcrafted special and quirky items.

"This is a fun and funky workshop that will bring Christmas cheer and give you the opportunity to let your creative flare flourish!

"The workshop will include up to 6 wooden-shaped decorations to take away and hang on your tree, ready for Santa to arrive.

"All you need to bring is your Christmas spirit and the rest is easy.

"Workshop places are available on a ‘first come, first served’ basis and frequently sell out, so book early to avoid disappointment."
